Home sweet home
Humans were one of the aliens that came to Alaris. They had none of the overwhelming power that would have kept them safe from the rest of the world. For a long time, they bounced between the budding civilizations that were forming along the planets surface. While they were resilient and had a creativity that outshone many of the others , they lacked the power or unique traits that the other races had. Humans also lacked a solid social structure whos rigidity or established rules defined a lot of the other races.
The humans of this world were too average for Crisalura, outsiders to Sihuriel, too undefended for Atrisea, and could not breathe underwater. Because of this, they had to create their own home. Many of the landmasses were occupied, or in the case of Atrisea, too hostile for most life. The sizable population sought out the mild temperature and grassy plains of the landmass in the center of the ocean, where the Terris civilization was created.

The humans took their time upon settling on the new lands, carving their houses from the wood and grasses that surrounded them. Their expansion across the land mass eventually made them encounter the other race that was lurking just under the surface. What they had used as their ground just happened to be another races ceiling.

The Harai had lived on the planet as long as the Fae had, one of the first to be shaped by the gods. Their sturdy nature and ability to build through the ground allowed them to live through all the chaos of the new world. They tended to avoid the other races, keeping to themselves. They had particular problems with the Maiyaris. The Maiyaris had a long history of being arrogant and dismissive towards other races. The Harai walled themselves in for as long as they could remember, until they came into contact with the humans for the first time. The first response was to reject the new beings on their land. It had been their land for as long as they could remember.
Unlike many races, the Harai eventually accepted the Humans. At first, they watched from afar. Even if the humans became a threat, the Harai were in no danger. They were stronger, both physically and mentally. When the two races eventually did meet, the minerals of the underground acted as an exchange between the two races. The minerals were useful for building, both weaponry and the structures of houses. It would become pivotal in order for magitech to exist on Alaris. It would not be the last time that a new race came to Terris seeking solace.

Once an exalted combined race, 1/3rd of the most powerful leading body on the planet. The Liphera wildly differed in their opinions of how the world should be ran, and part of this was the often elitist nature of their race's politics. Many Liphera at that time believed they were above everyone else, and treated most other races like garbage. Soon, a great split occurred. Half of the race saw nothing wrong with their methods, and half wanted to break away from the way that outsiders had been treated. It was a self exile, as they chose to leave their home. Regardless of if they chose their path, they still felt the pain. They knew of the budding civilization known as Terris. One of the strengths of the Liphera was the awareness of all things beyond their cities.
They arrived at the coast of Terris, traveling the long distance to the nearest cities and dispersing among them. Most of them found their way to Firani. Human beings and this sect of the Liphera got along well, known as the Davi Liphera. As part of their design to help their new comrades, they shared their knowledge of magic. By default humans did not have access to magic, which became another bond between the two races. In return, the Human beings taught the Davi Liphera their resilience.
