On Alaris the freedom you have is not limited to your character or your abilities. Like any society, jobs are important parts of the economy. On this planet, you can take just about any role you choose, from merchant to assassin. Do you want to explore the world and find rare items? Do you want to have your own shop and sell clothing? What about a cook at a popular bar? If you can imagine it, it just might happen! In this server jobs are partnered with npc events and random story events that keep things flowing smoothly. The jobs will require an application of what it is, where it is, etc. For jobs that require combat, targets will be provided by the DMs, or other beings if that being is alright with it. As a job owner grows, their events will grow in difficulty and/or scale.

On Alaris, the mix of races and uncertain circumstances leads to a large amount of people that need something done. This gave rise to quests that could range from simple tasks to monumental quests that can decide the fate of the entire world. The epic quests are normally few and far between, but there is still plenty of options for an amazing journey. Depending on the one that gives the quest, the alignment and morality of a quest can widely vary. Maybe one day youll be saving a village, the next youll be butchering people. It offers plenty of room for any being to have an adventure. In regards to bounties, there are boards in every city on the planet. Just remember. Good or bad, all actions have consequences.

 

Common: These can be simple tasks that one gives to another, or found through word of mouth in social areas like bars. They often arent more than the easy commands or missions they are meant to be, and dont pay well because of it.

 

Uncommon: These quests can be low level-mid level bounties, official postings or well paying jobs from people who need something done. They are formal requests, often written down in some form. Uncommon quests often have more difficulty than Common. Beings tend not to run across Uncommon quests, but it is possible.

 

Epic: These quests are the difficult ones. High level bounties, journeys to find rare items in dangerous places, adventures to locations that are dangerous, destruction of property in deadly ways, etc. They are only given to those who have proven their worth in whatever circle they are given in, and are not to be taken lightly.

 

Legendary: The best of the best, quests and tasks that can decide the fate of the world. Beings that nobody else can kill, monsters that threaten the world, holes in space time leading to alternate worlds, etc. To complete a Legendary quests means to be given gifts that both nobody else can be given, and are capable of godly things. Most beings would only see a Legendary quest once in their life.
