What lies under the water

The only kingdom of the world that does not have their own home, atleast not on land. Both the Sirens and the Niali tend to live off the coasts of major cities, for different reasons. Sirens will sing children, men, basically any race that will succumb to their song, and consume them. It is an act that the more civilized of their race will refuse to do in most cases, they require food in order to existence. This food has to be living flesh, and luckily they will not violently tear someone to pieces. Their deaths are swift, and after their bodies are consumed. Sirens were one of the older races of the planet, and lived in the seas since the world was young. The new beings only helped their race, allowing them new food. Their race prioritizes survival, though are drawn to those who are beautiful. This is where their attraction to the Niali comes from. Sirens will often find a Niali to bond with and mate with because of their natural beauty and their societal dedication to that beauty.

The Niali live on the coasts because they spend most of their time above water. They are quite nomadic, moving from one place to another in small groups. Most of the time, their homes are above it as well, and they will travel along the coasts from time to time if they ever need to go back underwater. They do, and will eventually. Unlike the Sirens, who need to go underwater every so often or they will suffer and die, the Niali will get homesick and distant if they spend too long above the water. Their venom is also renewed in strength with the presence of water. The Niali culture focuses a lot on beauty, and will find a leader based off who is the most beautiful at any given time. If a being is beautiful enough to be recognized as the leader of their race, theres a good chance that any other being would see that beauty as well. Niali are not native to any planet, they form under the right conditions and evolve using the magic of a world. This means that one section of the Niali will not be the same as another, even down to the color that their bodies produce.
